TAYLOUR MILLER FISHER aka TMO
Taylour Miller Fisher, known as TMO, is a Black and Tlingit Woman who was raised between Juneau, Alaska and San Francisco, California and has now been a full-time bay resident for 8 years. She is: a Social Justice enthusiast, activist, educator and artist currently working on curating her spoken word visual album; which focusses on meditation and consciousness deeply rooted in dismantling white supremacy, both within herself and our communities. She is a published poet, slam poetry coach, story teller, behavioural interventionist, and has hosted numerous events and curated a multitude of art exhibits. Combining activism and artistry, her passions consistently aim to integrate the two. Her Father was a member of the Black Panther Party, and one of the 12 personal body guards for Angela Davis. Her mother was the first woman (and woman of color) to scale and paint the Golden Gate Bridge as a journeyman painter; TMO has a deep history rooted in strength and perseverance. She is excited to share the knowledge she has gained immersing herself in community work and education through a series of seminars beginning in 2021!
